Position Objectives and Responsibility:

Main Position Objective:
This role involves working as a Web Applications Developer within the Performance Management Division of Biznet, developing web based Information Systems and Portals for Major Oil and Gas companies worldwide.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Design and develop internet applications
•    Maintain, support and enhance existing web based applications
•    Implement enhancements to current systems.
•    Ensure all production issues are logged and updated as per the Problem Management Policy.
•    Liaising with clients and project team leaders.
•    Ensure confidentiality of all information supplied by clients and other team members.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

You will be involved in the complete project lifecycle of web applications development from inception to completion. You will be expected to contribute in both logical and physical design and delivery. You will need a strong background in web-based technologies and application development.

•    Hold a relevant IT degree or 1+years experience within a development or programming environment
•    Working knowledge of, Coldfusion, ASP, ASP.NET, VB.NET, PHP, SQL Server 2000/05, Oracle, HTML, XHTML, Javascript
•    CSS, XML/XSLT knowledge is beneficial
•    Knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS).
•    Knowledge of object-orientated methodologies.
•    Microsoft Certified Professional desirable
•    Coldfusion Certification desirable
•    Experience in Oil and Gas or Utilities Industry is a distinct advantage.

The Candidate should also possess the following:

•    A significant contributor on a large (>9 month) project
•    Must be detail oriented, good problem solving skills and work well in a team environment.
•    Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach.
•    Ability to follow technical standards and operating practices.
•    Exceptional time management skills.
•    Must be willing to learn new technologies, be resourceful to solve complex challenges and work well under pressure.
