Position Objectives and Responsibility:
The individual will be the product champion across the company. Key responsibilities will be to define, agree and lead the new product vision, strategy and roadmap and assist the sales and marketing function to generate sales.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for product delivery and research and development activity
• Management of product life cycle, functional specifications, traceability matrix and other project documentation
• Liaise with internal tool managers, business development team, clients and business partners to gain a clear understanding of the client and market requirements.
• Control all project and client contract documentation
• Plan ongoing maintenance and strategic development of product features
• Provide resource management and metrics, and development status visibility.
• Report on the product performance, identify enhancements to the product and manage implementation of enhancements to the product.
• Identify product development opportunities from emerging or alternative technology.
• Responsible for the development and execution of product development processes and controls.
• Assisting the sales team with bid support.
• Design marketing collateral and implement effective product promotions
• Identify and develop revenue opportunities
• Identify joint ventures and partnership opportunities.
• UK and worldwide travel to customer or partner locations may be necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The successful candidate will come from a strong academic background and will have relevant commercial experience. 
• You will have managed the product development process for web based applications.
• Delivered products through a release management or related environment.
• Experience of writing documents and improving existing processes to further raise the quality levels within the organisation.
• Experience of working on multiple large projects at different stages of development/release.
• Good written and verbal presentation skills, preferably in a technical environment.  (eg. Working with development groups)
• Experience of working with multiple software testing methodologies.
• You must be dynamic, have confidence and be keen to constantly keep abreast of changes within the marketplace.

The Candidate should also possess the following:
• Strong communication skills. Including an ability to clearly and concisely communicate with internal teams, senior management and clients.
• Excellent analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skills.
• Be self-motivated, reliable and hard working, with critical thinking skills
• Have meticulous attention to detail, good problem solving skills and initiative.
• Proven ability to drive technical issues through to completion
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to follow technical standards and operating practices.
• Positive attitude and drive for continuous improvement
• Previous business development / sales experience an advantage
