Position Objectives and Responsibility
Main Position Objective:
The Project Manager is responsible for enforcing Project Planning and Requirements Specification standards and ensuring adequate resourcing to meet key delivery dates.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Preparing and assisting in the presenting of proposals and developing functional and technical specifications for Projects.
• Internet, Extranet and Internet site requirements analysis and design
• Allocating developer resources to new & existing projects.
• Liaise with Clients to ensure smooth delivery of applications.
• Liaise with clients on application requirements.
• Consultancy on key accounts
• Raise bills as project milestones are delivered and at project end
• Ensure administration is completed for each project
• Provide Minutes of All meetings and Teleconferences to Clients on a Timely basis, but not more than 48 hours after.
• Lead and manage the work of Lead / web application developers.
• Provide daily guidance with regards to all aspects of the development
lifecycle from technical questions through to process questions.
• Coordinate training for developers with career development plans.
• Review and provide feedback on technical issues.
• Keep up to date with internal and external development technologies and methodologies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The successful candidate will come from a strong academic background and will ideally have a 2.1 or 1st in an IT or Math related subject or 5 years commercial experience and a proven track record in project and man management.
The following Technical skills are a minimum requirement:
• Thorough knowledge of project management methodologies.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in project coordination.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in the management of development teams.
• Experience in HTML, XHTML, Javascript, CSS, Coldfusion, ASP, SQL Server 2000, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Project, Visio.
• Knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS).
• Knowledge of object-orientated methodologies.
• Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) a distinct Advantage.
• Coldfusion Certification desirable
• Experience in Oil and Gas or Utilities Industry is a distinct advantage.
The Candidate should also possess the following:
• Strong communication skills. Including an ability to clearly and concisely communicate with internal teams, senior management and clients.

• Exceptional planning and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated, reliable and hard working, with critical thinking skills and knowledge of web application theory.
• Excellent Client Relationship Management Skills
• Must be detail oriented, good problem solving skills and work well in a team environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to follow technical standards and operating practices.
• Must be willing to learn new technologies, be resourceful to solve complex challenges and work well under pressure.
